Girlie Things Wide Area Retail EPoS

Girlie Things lingeire specialists have opened their second retail EPoS outlet. This store, located in the popular seaside town of Porthcawl, uses ECR's Retail EPoS solution with a customised pink point of sale colour scheme. The second store is connected to head office using a secure wide area network. Fully integrated EPoS Ecommerce completes the solution.

 

 

 

Ipswich Town FC Improve Catering EPoS

Ipswich Town Football Club have improved their catering point of sale operations with the installation of several new touch panel processors from ECR. The processors have an ultra small foot print, are sealed and are fanless making them ideal for the clubs busy catering environments.

Norwich City FC Expand Retail EPoS  

Norwich City Football Club have expanded their retail operations with ECR. Two additional points of sale have been added to the Carrow Road super store. Each point of sale has fully integrated chip and pin using Ocius4PC from Commidea. ECR's interface to TALENT Sport is also included.

 

 

Royal Glamorgan Hospital chooses ECR for Catering Operations

Salon Connection Trade Accounts

Salon Connection is a busy hair and beauty supplies centre for the trade based in Swansea South Wales, who were experiencing difficulties with their existing system. ECR were asked to supply, install and support a trade accounts point of sale and stock control software solution. ECR worked closely with the management at Salon Connection to implement and tailor the solution for their requirements. Crucial existing information was migrated to the new solution. This phased implementation will be completed with a link to Sage Line 50 accountancy software.

 

Bury Football Club, ECR and IPOS 

ECR and International PoS Ltd have recently installed a new point of sale system into the retail store at Bury Football Club. This modern store, run by the SDL Group, now benefits from modern touch screen point of sale with bar code scanning. Price and product control and comprehensive management reporting complete the solution.

 

 

Rabart Designer Paint and PoS

Rabart painters and decorators merchant have expanded their operations at their Bath branch to include the highest quality designer paint products. In keeping with the product sold Rabart have installed ECRs designer point of sale terminal to control trade and retail sales.

Harlequins Rugby, ECR and S4S

As an integral part of Harlequins’ commitment to new and improved services to supporters, ECR are to supply the EPoS solution for Harlequins Rugby. The solution will cover two locations within the stadium and will integrate to the club’s ticketing and marketing solution; TALENT Sport developed by Software4Sport. This integration, already used at other sporting clubs, will allow Harlequins Rugby to profile their clients’ retail purchases together with their ticketing trends. Integrated chip and pin will also be included at each point of sale. Clients will be identified at the point of sale by scanning a supporter’s card. Modern touch screens using ECR’s EPoS software and Harlequins’ branding throughout complete the solution.

 

 

Ecommerce for Girlie Things 

Lingerie specialists Girlie Things, have enhanced their EPoS solution from ECR by adding the Ecommerce module. Integrating seamlessly to SEO Ecommerce from SEOSiteBuilder.com, the solution allows products with images and descriptions to be controlled from ECR’s back office solutions. Orders processed on-line are sent for picking and despatching. Web site stock levels are maintained automatically with instant updates from the point of sale and back office. Salthouse Fine Dining

May saw the opening of the fully refurbished Salthouse on the Square, located in Porthcawl, South Wales Using ECR’s point of sale solution with wall mounted order taking the Salthouse has 3 dining areas and a busy bar. The bar point of sale uses the latest designer touch screen for bar sales and restaurant payments. Wall mounted order taking is used for the fine dining area. Fast and reliable remote printing to the kitchen completes the solution.

 

 

Ipswich Town FC Customer Loyalty 

Ipswich Town Football Club have upgraded their retail customer loyalty to allow clients to be identified at the point of sale using scanned barcodes. This also allows retail partners to use their existing scanners within their stores. ECR’s loyalty module allows an increased number of customer offers based on points awarded when the customers use their cards.

Llandudno and Conwy Tourist Information 

Llandudno and Conwy tourist information centres have adopted ECR’s EPoS and stock control solution. ECR have provided full product, price and stock control with in-house barcode label production. The points of sale are connected to head office using Conwy Council’s wide area network. Following successful installation and initial handhold the centres are running smoothly ready for the busy summer period.

 

 

Princess of Wales Hospital Restaurants

The Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend South Wales has had ECR’s EPoS solution installed in its Terrace and Oasis restaurants. These busy staff and visitor restaurants now enjoy fast reliable and modern point of sale. Back office price and product control will be connected using one of Europe’s largest single site wireless networks.

 

 

Llanelli Scarlets and ECR in the Zone 

The Llanelli Scarlets provided superb additional match day hospitality for their Heineken Cup quarter-final clash with Munster at Stradey Park. On request ECR supplied additional point of sale equipment for three large marquee zones. Each zone used account cards for tracking client purchases and subsequent invoicing. ECR’s on-site presence through the day ensured smooth running of the point of sale facilities. Following the game ECR’s expertise and assistance allowed sales information to be transferred to the permanent hospitality solution maintaining stock control and sales analysis.

Llanelli Scarlets Rugby 

February saw the installation of ECR’s point of sale and stock control software solution at Llanelli Scarlets Rugby. Both the retail store and hospitality lounges and bars adopted the solution, each having control over their respective areas. ECR worked closely with the Scarlets management, I.T. and staff to provide a swift and trouble free installation. March 3rd saw the system go live, performing well during the Scarlets vs. Ulster league clash.

 

 

Broadwater Caravan Park, ECR and IPOS 

Another successful venture between ECR and International PoS saw the installation of a four point of sale hospitality solution to Broadwater Caravan Park based in Fleetwood, Lancashire. Using Hewlett Packard processing power supplied by IPOS and ECRs point of sale solution with back office price and product control, the system was made operational during February.

 

 

Rabart Expand into Cornwall with ECR 

Rabart painter and decorator merchants have continued to expand operations by opening a new branch in Redruth, Cornwall. ECR have scaled up Rabart’s head office solution to accommodate the newly installed Redruth location.

 

ECR Improves Client Support 

ECR’s continued dedication to the improvement of client support has seen the addition of second out of hours support line for ECR’s Gold support clients. This additional contact number is designed to always allow our Gold clients access to an expert when they most need it.

Monmouthshire Tourist Information Centres Go-Live.

January has seen Chepstow, Monmouth and Abergavenny Tourist Information Centres go live with ECR's EPoS and stock control solution. Using Monmouthshire County Council's wide area network the centres are connected to the Chepstow head office for centralised control. Each centre benefits from individual price, product and stock control. Bar code labels are produced in-house allowing accurate and swift scanning at each point of sale.

 

 

Cardiff Tourist Information choose ECR

Cardiff County Council has chosen ECR's point of sale and stock control solution for their city centre tourist information centre. Price, product and stock control will be provided with in-house bar code label production. Integrated Chip and Pin for credit card authorisation using Commidea's Ocius4PCs will complete the solution.

 

 

Horniman Museum, ECR and IPOS

The Horniman Museum in London chose the superb IPOS PC point of sale solution with ECRs point of sale software. During January the solution was installed and will provide ticket and merchandise controls for the Museum from February.

 

 

Coming Soon, Ecommerce

ECR and SEO Site Builder have worked together to create an integrated EPoS and Ecommerce solution. Timekeeper – Night Watchman Monitoring

New from ECR, Timekeeper uses all-weather smart card technology to monitor the rounds of night watchmen. Using one or more smart card devices and cards the solution records when a patrol position was reached. Overdue and late arrivals are recorded and reported. Using Timekeeper security firms can now provide their clients with the assurance that patrols are performed as specified.

 

 

York Visitor Information, ECR and IPOS

ECR and International POS Ltd have together provided the point of sale and stock control solution required by York Visitor Information Centres. York approached IPOS for a solution to modernise their point of sale and provide full stock control. Using Hewlett-Packard PoS processors and ECR’s touch screen PoS software the solution was installed during November, with integrated chip and pin following during December.

Technology news

ECR’s stock control software now has a batch label generator. A simple user interface allows the creation of batches of labels that can then be printed using the Datamax E-Class label printer.

Printing credit notes at the point of sale is now available. Bar-coded credit notes are produced and can subsequently be scanned for tender.

Leicester City FC Upgrade Retail

To increase throughput and reliability, Leicester City Football Club are upgrading their retail EPoS system. The upgrade includes increased processing power, OCIUS for PCs chip and pin, and barcode web based Teamcard integration.

This will enable the club to provide supported reward cards, adding further value to its loyal fan base.

 

 

Tourist Information and Ticketing with ECR

Monmouthshire Council has chosen ECR's point of sale and stock control solution to control three busy tourist information centres in Wales. Centres at Chepstow, Monmouth and Abergavenny will use the solution that will also allow event tickets to be produced at the point of sale using a specialised ticket printer. Price, product and stock control for all three sites will be managed centrally over a wide area network for centralised stock and price control.

 

 

 

Technology News

Using specialised ticket printers and ticket creation software developed in-house, ECR now offer ticket printing at the point of sale. Customised tickets can be created complete with serial number controls on issue. Ticket products can be linked to commission reporting for tickets sold on behalf of third party organisations.

Ipswich Town FC Power-up Retail

Ipswich Town Football Club continues to work with ECR to upgrade their retail EPoS system. Increased reliability and improved processing power at the point of sale were required to cope with the increased demand due to a recently adopted smart card loyalty scheme.

Ipswich's continued upgrade policy will provide a future proof solution with supporter rewards from increased loyalty.

Lingerie specialists Girlie Things have chosen ECR's point of sale and stock control solution. The solution will provide a modern stylish point of sale with full product label printing and stock control. Through our in house development capability, specific lingerie fashion functionality required was incorporated into the core system, offering a unique, functionally rich EPoS solution.

 

Ospreys and Swans Fly Stocktaking

Ospreys Rugby and Swansea City Football Club have adopted handheld terminals for stocktaking. These terminals using laser-scanning technology allow staff to perform regular cyclical stock takes. This time intensive task has now been significantly reduced both for actual stock counting and transfer of the stock take to the stock control solution.

 

Technology news

Handheld terminals for stocktaking are available as a seamless upgrade to ECR's stock control solution. One or more hand held units can be used attached to a single back-office computer using a cradle.

Use of this hand held unit reduces stock take time significantly and allows for easy and frequent cyclical stock takes, perfect for the run up to Christmas!

Norwich City FC Adopt Chip and Pin

During September, Norwich City Football Club adopted integrated chip and pin. Using OCIUS for PCs from Commidea the solution uses compact pin pads connected to each PoS. Credit card authorisation is performed using the Internet. This method reduces operator error, offers fast authorisation and provides peace of mind for the customer.

 

Rabart are PALS with ECR

Rabart are a highly successful decorators merchant based in South Wales. Already using ECR's touch screen point of sale solution at each site and at head office for customer control, Rabart created a scheme known as PALS (Preferential Accounts Loyalty Scheme). ECR worked closely with Rabart to provide the functionality required to reward their existing customers, and entice infrequent buyers to always consider Rabart first.

 

Remote Order Taking at Neath Rugby

ECR have successfully piloted a remote order taking solution at Neath Rugby. Using a wireless tablet mobile point of sale, Neath have significantly boosted corporate hospitality turnover during the first two home games of the season as well as delivering a service their clients love. The solution allows Neath Rugby to offer a true table service environment for their corporate clients, reducing bar queues and improving the clients' experience.

 

Technology news

Internet Chip and Pin credit card authorisation using Commidea's OCIUS for PCs is now available. This solution uses a compact pin pad connected to each Point of Sale.

The processing power of the point of sale allows faster authorisation times. Between 15 and 20 seconds is typical following pin number entry.
