Neath Rugby Retail EPoS Case Study
ECR at the Heart of the Neath Community
When Neath Rugby approached ECR they were looking for an EPoS solution that was easy to use, and give total control over stock. In addition, the management at Neath Rugby wanted to get a better understanding of their customers in order to facilitate targeted marketing campaigns, so profiling based on purchasing patterns was key.
Launched in July 2004, the Neath Rugby shop is located at the heart of the shopping community. It acts as a medium for supporters to purchase a wide range of branded merchandise as well as selling match day tickets and corporate hospitality. ECR implemented a low cost, robust solution that included touch screen point of sale with barcode scanning. This serves as the perfect foundation for a growing retail outlet, and will allow Neath Rugby to incrementally add additional units in corporate hospitality and bar areas as the new season commences.
Given the seasonal nature of the business, and the high use of temporary staff, it was imperative that the solution employed was easy to learn and simple to use, with ECR giving round the clock support and on site hand holding during the whole process.
‘We looked at many Epos solutions ranging from large national suppliers to off the shelf systems. What clearly stood out from ECR was their ability to understand and tailor their solution specifically to our needs. An added advantage of ECR is that they employ their own software team, so whatever the changing needs of Neath Rugby, we are confident that there will be an ECR solution to match’ quoted Deenna Barton, Business Development Manager for Neath Rugby.
