In the Pink at Girlie Things - Retail EPoS Case Study 
Offering the finest ranges of lingerie and swimwear coupled with the best of choice and service, Girlie Things, based in Neath, West Wales are making a huge impression in a market dominated by retail giants with little imagination.
Due to the comprehensive range of products, colours, cup and back sizes available at Girlie Things, stock taking was always a very labour intensive task. ECR were asked to come up with a solution to enable Girlie Things to increase their product range, and effectively manage the stock going through the tills.
ECR worked closely with Girlie Things to look at how they operated, determine the main issues they faced and propose a solution that would enable them to grow substantially in years to come. To cater for the varied product range, additional software was developed and added to ECR's core stock control product to allow for the automated creation of product variants, easy delivery entry and subsequent product label production. Comprehensive product grouping was devised to allow products to be located by style, range, colour, size and much more, allowing for comprehensive management reporting as well as easy retrieval.
Customer details are captured at point of sale for loyalty purposes and to retrieve customer measurements as well as previous purchases. Attention to detail included the supply of a unique pink touch screen, the only one in the UK which was colour matched, and sprayed exclusively for Girlie Things. Connection to back office was achieved via wireless connection, eradicating the need for unsightly wires. Point of sale functionality includes stock level interrogation using this wireless connection.
